As I previously mentioned (albeit, long ago), I love coffee. What I haven’t yet mentioned is that I also love brunch. Sunday brunch, Tuesday brunch, Friday brunch… I love that delectable combination when breakfast comes together with lunch to create brunch.
Growing up, my mom always taught me the importance of being healthy in my food choices. I’m somewhat of a label-reader, although I’m not a health nut (but I commend those who are!). But the coffee-loving, brunch-eating, label-reading Brooke loves Luci’s Healthy Marketplace in Phoenix.

Just off the 51 on Bethany Home, the parking is tight but once you get inside, it’s glorious. They have delicious yogurts, oatmeals, pastries, juices and snackables at the coffee bar up front, kitchen with a diner-like bar in the back, and a darling fresh market in the middle that reminds me of one of my favorite stores, Cost Plus World Market.
Not only are the edibles tasty, but the atmosphere is the icing on the cake. In good weather (lucky for us, that’s much of the year), the walls are glass and on a track so they can roll up to open the inside to the sunshine and breeze. I love being outside, and absolutely love this feature, especially in a cramped dining area.
Let the good times come.
The coffee isn’t my favorite in Phoenix, but it’s still good and it doesn’t keep me away. I’ll talk more about their brunch menu in the future, but what I really love is their selection of fresh foods and snacks, perfect for a bagel and cappuccino, Toddy and egg scramble, or an iced chai to hold while perusing the market isles.
